Water Testing
Whether you are using water from a borehole, as a raw material, part of a process or are a manufacturer, water quality is essential for the environment and public safety. We are UKAS accredited to carry out a range of microbiological water tests and sampling, using methods in accordance with Environment Agency regulations.
Air QualityTesting
Microbiological monitoring of air is a key component of environmental monitoring in organisations such as hospitals, food factories, cleanrooms and other controlled environments. SMS can provide the level of monitoring to suit your requirements. Passive Monitoring Exposed Petri dishes containing appropriate culture media are used to test air particles. Settle plates are inexpensive, easy to use and ideal for providing an early warning of problems in environments such as a low risk food factory. At SMS we produce all of our own media and can supply various types of agar plates for monitoring air quality. Active Monitoring Where air quality must meet regulatory standards and guidelines, or you are experiencing issues with your air quality, we can offer Microbiological Air Sampling. Air is drawn using calibrated and validated air sampling equipment to ensure accuracy of results and the results are reported as CFU per litre of air. This method is recommended for clean rooms and other controlled environments where sampling large volumes of air is required. |
